I am excited to be starting my 11th year teaching math at Indian Mound Middle School. I have lived in Madison, WI for most of my life. Having been born and raised there, I graduated from West High School. After high school, I moved about 60 miles away to Waukesha, WI where I graduated from Carroll University.
After graduation, I moved back to Madison and started working for the Madison Metropolitan School District. I taught 7th grade math and science at Wright Middle School for my first 2 years. I then transferred to Cherokee Heights Middle School and spent 12 years there. While at Cherokee I taught math, math intervention, Honors Algebra, science and A.V.I.D. I have grown and learned so much as an educator from my time in the Madison Metropolitan School District. I was excited to bring my experience and enthusiasm for teaching to Indian Mound Middle School. I love teaching math to middle schoolers and could never see myself doing anything else!
My husband, who is also a middle school teacher, and I moved to McFarland 18 years ago. We have one beautiful and energetic daughter who is a sophomore at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design.
This school year, 2023-2024, I am teaching Algebra 1, CC3 and Math S.E.T. classes. I look forward to working with, learning from, and teaching your child. My main goals each year are for my students to gain confidence, have success, and learn to love math.
